ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : 1) Transports meals to Detox patients. 2) Replenishes juices, fruit and snacks to all units. 3) Slices meats and cheeses as needed. 4) Ensures that cleaning list is completed. 5) Takes trash and empty boxes to dumpsters. 6) Rotates all stock properly. 7) Serves meals to patients, staff and visitors. 8) Performs salad bar setup and refills daily. 9) Insures that all dinnerware, pots, pans, serving and cooking utensils are clean and returned to the proper storage areas. 10) Runs dishwasher and put away clean dishes to proper storage areas. 11) Retrieves milk, food and paper supplies for next day. 12) Insures that all meals are served at the proper temperature. 13) Insures left over food is stored properly. 14) Prepares soups, sauces, and gravies. 15) Identifies internal food temperatures of beef, pork and poultry. 16) Prepares frozen and canned vegetables. 17) Changes boxes on concentrated juice machines as needed. 18) Professionally answers in-house and external phone calls. 19) Cleans ovens, grills, steam tables and fryers. 20) Sanitizes all areas in accordance with policies and procedures. 21) Insures that all perishable items are stored properly. 22) Calls Detox Unit to get meal count before meals are served. 23) Verified deliveries and rejects extra good sent by vendors. 24) Locks freezers and coolers in accordance with policy.
