Construction Manager (Consumer Products Group) Key Responsibilities: • Site construction leadership for large capital projects at Consumer Products Business locations. • Work with project teams to determine the most valuable construction and construction management strategies for specific large capital projects; by coordinating with the Mills, Businesses, Engineering, Sourcing, and Legal teams. • Support project development phases with construction scope, cost, schedule, and resourcing input. • Lead constructability reviews for large capital projects during pre-funding phases. • Lead construction planning process, metrics development, and progress reporting for specific projects. • Lead developing and coordinating detailed project construction, checkout, and commissioning schedules. • Primary on-site interface with contractors on safety, schedule, cost, change management, and quality/precision installation performance. • Identify and secure resources for site construction management roles on specific projects, using both internal and external resources. • Apply economic thinking to evaluate alternatives, and work with project teams on value improving processes for construction activities. Knowledge and Skills: • Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills. • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and organize multiple priorities with a sense of urgency • Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite, and Microsoft Project, including critical path schedule management. • Ability to obtain meaningful feedback from customers. • Customer focused, continually seeking innovative ways to improve project execution. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree. • A minimum of 5 years of construction management experience in heavy industrial / manufacturing. • Ability to working nights and weekends when required. • Ability to work up to 12 days continuously during critical project execution periods. • Ability to working in a variety of manufacturing and construction environments. • Travel up to 75%. * Candidate must be located in South/SE/ or Green Bay Preferred Qualifications: • A minimum of 5 years of construction management experience in paper mill related projects. • A minimum of 10 years construction management experience in heavy industrial / manufacturing • Experience with understanding and applying 3D design models in construction projects. • Experience working with and applying Market­Based Management® Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
