This position will work with carrier dispatchers/drivers to schedule freight pickup appointments to meet customer deadlines. This role will be responsible for processing all associated paperwork and system data for all shipments; work with Customer Service and Distribution Leads to release orders for processing and shipment, making sure all customer specific requirements are met; assist with coordinating inter-facility transfers with other corporate and 3PL run facilities. The Logistics Coordinator will have strong organizational & communication skills and thorough knowledge of all logistical processes and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Arrange for carrier services by specific routing requirement • Coordinate transfer product schedules between Creative Converting distribution centers on time to support production and to meet our customers requirements. • Work with shift leads and Logistics Specialist to develop daily schedules. • Prepare outbound load documentation including BOL, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and labels. • Assist Logistics Specialist with filing of carrier claims. • Be able to backup the Logistics Specialists, Shipping Coordinator and Receiving Coordinator when necessary. • Route customer orders using various systems in the timeframe necessary to meet deadlines. • Support daily metrics tracking and recording. • Understand and utilize Manhattan PKMS Warehouse Management System, FedEx Ship Manager and UPS Worldship. • Maintain tracking of historical shipping & receiving documents Requirements: • Associate degree is desired, but not essential if the experience meets/exceeds expectations. • 1 - 3 years experience in logistical operations roles. Experience working with a 3PL a plus. • Must be punctual, well organized and have attention to detail • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. • Clear concise communication both verbally and in writing.
