Bond set at $10,000 cash for man cited in domestic feud

The Langlade County courtroom attracted a packed house Monday — and it just wasn’t defendants waiting for a turn before Judge Fred Kawalski. Nine defense attorneys, far greater than the usual two or three who routinely appear during the weekly afternoon intake session, made the trip here to represent clients on a range of criminal matters. Fleming pleads not guilty to child sex count

An Antigo man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl and then skipping out of the state in violation of bail while awaiting prosecution on the charge has entered pleas of not guilty. Monday in Langlade County Circuit Court, Edward “Freddy” Fleming, 58, denied guilt to the pair of felony counts which combined could keep him incarcerated for the remainder of his life. Brothers, vets join Honor Flight trip

Two Langlade County natives likely slept in today. Robert Duchrow, who now lives in Rhinelander, and his brother, Marvin Duchrow, of Phlox joined other veterans and their families and friends to take the Honor Flight Monday on the grueling one-day tour of monuments, traveling from Central Wisconsin Airport at Mosinee to Washington, D.C. and then home just as the sun was setting later that day. Troubling bath salts cases in circuit court

Four Antigo men jailed this week on suspected use of bath salts must post cash bail before being released from custody.

In a bid to perhaps help slow the growing trend of re-offenders who have and are possibly continuing to use the drug, Langlade County Judge Fred Kawalski Thursday set bond amounts ranging between $1,000 and $10,000 cash for four Antigo men jailed in connection with the substance.
