Details: Executive Director and Manager. Role: The Executive Director role is to be the principal administrator of a Four Step Main Street Program and be the principal liaison with a Business Improvement District (BID). Responsibility: The Executive Director is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of the annual work plan and operating budget approved by the Main Street Board of Directors. Supervision: The Executive Director is supervised by the President of the Board of Directors. Duties: Serves as the primary staff contact for, and provides leadership to the Main Street Wausau, Inc. program. Operates and manages the Main Street office and program projects without clerical assistance. Shares office space with Wausau Events, Inc. and coverage with the Events Coordinator of both organization’s personal and telephone contacts that occur when one or the other of the staff people is engaged or absent. Provides assistance to the Events Director for some Wausau Events programs as authorized by the Main Street Board of Directors. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with members of the BID and businesses within the BID, the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce, Centergy - Central Wisconsin Alliance for Economic Development, and State of Wisconsin, Marathon County and City of Wausau personnel and departments. Develops and implements marketing materials and programming, public relations activities, news releases and media relations, grant writing, fund raising, and, in cooperation with others, business recruitment activities including real estate marketing and promotion. Plans, implements and promotes special promotional events with the Main Street area boundaries. Creates and develops educational programs and advocacy activities relating to development in the Main Street area, and assesses the need for or makes improvements to established programs such as and including small business development/recruitment. Develops and provides public presentations about Wausau’s Main Street program. Plans, organizes and encourages ongoing visioning and forecasting, trend analysis, long-range planning activities.

POSITION SUMMARY: In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating medium projects from proposal through post implementation. You will follow Combined Project Methodology, analyze and provide feedback on business requirements and acts as project lead to ensure completion of project documentation and project schedule. In addition, you will ensure functional specifications and test plans are completed and project meets established milestones. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as functional and/or IT Lead on medium/large projects and/or as a support role on large projects. Participates and provides feedback on Business Requirements. Ensures thorough understanding of requirements. Ensures completion of specifications, test plans and scripts and execution of test phases. Develops estimates for assigned component and coordinates estimation process for medium level projects. Consistently evaluates actual vs. estimates for time and cost. Works with technical team and vendors to ensure understanding of functionality to be delivered based on requirements and functional specs. Participates in design discussions and design alternatives. Establishes project schedule and coordinates deliverables with team. Act as a representative for the applicable application, as well as Functional Lead, or IT Lead for supported project. Participates in data mapping for integration of systems, conversions, and acquisition related projects. Plans, schedules and facilitates project meetings; documents issues and works toward resolution; maintains document repository for project. Adheres to CT project guidelines and ensures achievement of milestones per plan. Consistently monitors scope to ensure project stays within budget. Manages post implementation process including post-mortem. Actively participates in Employee Engagement activities within Central Technology.
