This position provides technical and application support for the printer and cutter product lines in North America, including integration support, supporting sales team in North America, helping customers with operating and installation issues and questions, etc. Additionally, this position may take responsibility for repair of Hengstler printers and cutters in North America. Key Responsibilities 1. Provide hotline telephone support of customers within normal working time for any type of technical problem, including printer/cutter integration, driver installation, paper jam issues, paper mounting issues, etc. 2. Estimated 70%/30% split between hotline and on-site problem solving. 3. Support NA sales team and customers by listening and learning about their specific application, and then recommending the correct Hengstler product to address those needs. 4. Aid sales team in obtaining and closing new business by visiting or participating in conference calls with critical customers with US sales manager or when necessary alone, to resolve customer issues, demonstrate complex products, or provide on-site technical knowledge. 5. Provide product training to NA sales team members, customers and distributors, as necessary. 6. Repair higher volume Hengstler printers and cutters to avoid long repair cycle times caused by return to Hengstler in Aldingen Germany. Issue the necessary documentation and enter necessary data to allow tracking of these repairs. Arrange shipment of repairs back to customer. 7. As necessary, provide customers with an update on the status of their repairs. 8. Write Special Requests where appropriate defining product variants for NA customers and discuss with Product Marketing. 9. Notify Product Management of any new opportunities or issues that contact with customers have made known. Relationships This position reports directly to the Manager Product Integration Support in Germany. This position has no direct reports. Description Position: Controls Engineer Department: Engineering Class: Salaried/Exempt Responsibilities IAC is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer. This position will be responsible for controls systems design, specification, programming, troubleshooting and start-up assistance of complex automated systems. Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming of the Allen Bradley PLC’s. The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of digital and analog I/O systems using the above mentioned controllers. Individual must have knowledge in plant networking and be able to work with IT Department on barcode reading. Panel design and layout and wiring schematic capabilities are expected with this position. The candidate must have experience reading and red-lining PI&D drawings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in engineering leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion. This person will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities.
