Interacts with external machine shops for completion of equipment fabrication projects and other contractors as needed. Completes scheduled/unscheduled work orders and thoroughly documents work performed for tracking in Preventive Maintenance programs. Operates and maintains boiler. Maintains records for boiler and monitors chemical usage. Operates and maintains glycol refrigeration. Maintains records. Interprets manuals specifications, blueprints, and work orders. Follows up to insure all repairs work correctly and equipment is in good working order. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Research and order all necessary parts for processing equipment Promote good safety, food safety, and quality practices Ensure review of the LOTO program annually Assist Plant Manager with all daily tasks including, but not limited back up tanker loader, continuous involvement with the employee and load-out schedule, and all processing numbers Maintain and submit processing numbers to Corporate office in the event of Plant Manager’s absence Lead plant sanitation programs within set guidelines Assist sanitation crew with disassembling machines and product piping for sanitation.
