Senior Financial Analyst

Details: SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst provides financial guidance, direction and analytical support for appropriate functional areas. The position will also coordinate the development of product costs recognized in cost of sales and inventory, maintenance of standard cost data, manufacturing variance analyses, develop and distribute monthly performance reports, product margin analyses, general financial analyses and assist with special projects as required. Perform monthly financial reporting including developing balance sheet, income statement and other information for loading into COGNOS and developing related schedules which analyze results. Ensure accuracy of inventory standard costing and general ledger transactional posting. Analyze manufacturing variances, scrap and rework cost, and product returns. Produce internal information to facilitate control of these costs. Responsible for ensuring timely reconciliation of inventory dollars between the ERP system perpetual inventory and the general ledger. Work with Regional Compliance department to assist with physical inventories as needed. Coordinate the interaction of systems and procedures within the cost accounting function with other departments. Assist in recommending and implementing process improvements. Prepare and distribute monthly financial information and business unit metrics to business leaders. Develop and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales information. Prepare, analyze and distribute profitability reports by product line, project/job and customer. Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Manage the monthly closing process around inventory. Complete special projects as assigned. Comply with all Finance Department and Company policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards. Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within and between departments.
