The position will include approximately 2-4 months of training at the corporate facility in Cranberry, PA followed by assignment in Sanmen, China or Haiyang, China . Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) – Focuses on the delivery and development of new-plant projects worldwide. It is within this Business Unit that developed the AP1000 design, the safest and most economical nuclear power plant available in the worldwide commercial market place. In this position, a Start-Up Test Engineer, Principal I&C (China) can expect to be responsible for the following: Perform complex Pre-Op tasks i.e. cold hydro testing, hot functional testing, integrated leak rate/structure integration. Perform complicated Startup tasks i.e., thermal growth and vibration, reactor/turbine performance testing. Provide site support/supplement training support. Project manager for small contract Startup scopes. Review and approve complex testing. Lead test engineer at site. Review and approve completed procedures, implementation of procedures and resolves nonconformance. This is a highly interactive job, requiring excellent communication skills and a broad range of technical knowledge related to either mechanical, electrical or I&C engineering in addition to testing mechanical, electrical or I&C SSC. Knowledge of digital controls (PLC's). Able to perform system field walk downs. This position will require living outside of the United States and will require your consent to, and successful completion of, a post-offer/pre-assignment medical assessment and/or evaluation prior to departure. This assignment is subject to you and your accompanying spouse/family members meeting all of the host country immigration authorities, and consenting to and successfully completing a medical assessment and/or examination. The company shall provide, process, and pay reasonable and customary fees related to documentation required to secure visas, residential, and work permits, prior to the start of your assignment. The company suggests that international assignees register with the nearest home country embassy or consulate upon arrival in the host country.
