Details: COMPLIANCE ENGINEER **This position is located at Arctic Cat Headquarters in Thief River Falls, MN** SUMMARY: This individual will be responsible for conducting compliance related activities for All Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s) and Recreation Off-Highway Vehicles (ROV’s). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Possess a thorough understanding of all external and internal standards that apply to Arctic Cat ATV’s and ROV’s. Perform detailed Compliance procedures in accordance with regulatory and Arctic Cat standards. Compile and maintain compliance documents per documentation process. Develop new Arctic Cat standards, and give input to upcoming regulatory standards. Stay abreast of design changes that affect ATV and ROV’s to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained. Attend and contribute to design reviews. Research and recommend design modifications. Determine appropriate test equipment required to perform testing. Design and fabricate test fixtures and equipment as required. Stay up to date on new and innovative test equipment that applies to Arctic Cat compliance testing. Determine costing for and procure test equipment. Maintain calibration of laboratory and data acquisition equipment. Operate and understand programming of data acquisition equipment and test instrumentation including strain gages, accelerometers, sound measurement, and LVDT’s. Analyze and present test data via graphs, spreadsheets, and statistics using data analysis software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Assure completeness and accuracy of tests performed. Effectively communicate with the product teams, informing them of the test progression and results. Maintain test lab work area. Participate in 5S events to increase workplace efficiency. Travel and extended time away might be required for compliance and other testing. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive designs, costing, test data, prototype models, and product plans.
