Plant Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities include insuring safety of personnel and assets, assessing feasibility of projects, developing project scope and justification, designing equipment and infrastructure solutions, supervising and supporting equipment builds, construction, and installations, and training production and maintenance personnel. TEKsystems is surrently looking for a Cisco Support candidate for a 3 month contract to hire in Madison WI. Top Three Skills: 1) 5+ years' experience with Cisco port configuration. Understanding and able to perform configurations using config mode commands. 2) 5+ years' experience working in low-voltage/network infrastructure industry. Need someone who has worked in a Technical Support (possibly NOC) environment supporting external users with hardware issues. Low Voltage and Network knowledge below: LAN/WAN, wi-fi, voice/video/data integration, POS systems, video surveillance, infrastructure cabling, digital signage) Understanding of installation; break-fix; moves, adds and changes; upgrades; relocations; staging and configuration, structured cabling and premise and horizontal wiring. 3) 5+ years' experience supporting field technicians. This candidate will be part of a team sitting Norcross that supports the Company technicians that are on site at the Client locations, doing the deployments. This technician should be of CCNA level but a cert is not a must. The on-site field technicians are doing cabling, device installation, and patching across the country. The Technical Support specialist will be doing configuration of Cisco Routers and Switches (all series), Wireless APs, configuration and ping, moves, adds and changes for structured cabling.
