Details: Position Overview Shift: 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm with rotating weekends Interviews vendors to obtain an accurate understanding of the type, cause, and nature of a failure and whether or not it qualifies for coverage per the terms of the warranty contract. Makes authorization decision on home warranty claims based on contract terms and conditions. 2. Gathers and records accurate information regarding warranty service requests in non-HVAC categories. 3. Handles new claims, tele-apps, renewals, customer service, coverage questions, vendor enrollment and outside sales representative call. 4. Enters information from contract holders and vendors regarding type, cause, and nature of reported system failure. 5. Ensures necessary information is collected in order to accurately determine warranty coverage per the contractual terms. 6. Communicates approved and denied claim adjustments to contract holders and the associated vendors. 7. Assists contract holders in understanding the coverage determination, contract holder's options regarding instructing a technician on how to proceed, and, if needed, the collection of their claim cost reimbursement. 8. Determines if a contract holder's demand for further review of a refused claim adjustment should be escalated to higher level. 9. Responsibilities include fax and email authorization, internet service support, queue follow-up work, equipment research, equipment ordering, and invoice processing.
