The TherapeuticSupervision Monitor job goals are to provide supervised visitation whileallowing the child to interact with the parent in a safe environment, and topromote a healthy relationship when possible. The primary purpose of visiting is toallow children to preserve relationships with people who are important to them. To provide a protected visitation and a therapeutic intervention between children and the non-custodial parent so that child benefits as much as possible from the contact. To assist children and their families in maintaining or reestablishing relationships that are healthy and safe for the child. To assist children in the transition to different family structures, while providing for the safety of the child. To provide custody evaluators and treatment professionals with supplemental information for visitation and treatment planning. To actively engage in assisting the non-custodial parent and child to reengage in a relationship if it has been interrupted by court process. ESSENTIAL & COREFUNCTIONS: MajorResponsibilities and Related Tasks: I. Direct-Line Services A. Provide visits as outlined bythe referral source which may include hands-on assistance and education (several times perweek if applicable) to the family in an effort to meet goals. Inform parents ifthey are to provide supplies, snacks, or meals. B. Schedule and providetransportation as outlined in the case plan. C. Monitor and ensure childsafety and well-being at all-times. D. Participate in caseconferences and court appearances upon request and as outlined in the case plan. E. Participate in ongoingassessment and evaluation of the family’s goals. Provide verbal feedback toclients regarding their conduct and progress in the visits. F. Monitor and provide a safevisitation environment for children and terminate the visit if it is not deemed appropriate orparties involved have improper conduct. Clearly define the rules of visitation withall parties involved and notify referring agency if rules are violated. Followthe visitation policies and procedures policies of the agency II. Client Information System A. Provide necessary clientinformation to referring department and the family (contact logs, reports,case updates). B. Establish and maintainappropriate professional files which provide all necessary documentation regardingthe family. C. Maintain accurate, complete,and comprehensive notes that must be entered into Credible within 48 hrs. D.Provide weekly updates with Supervisor regarding all cases. III.
