Job Title: Electrician Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has a need for an Electrician in Wright Patterson Medical in Dayton, Ohio. This position will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs and operations of all the electrical systems. Ensure quality workmanship and high work standards conforming at all times to the published electrical codes. Maintain the quality and quantity of his/her work up to acceptable Company standards and in accordance with established policies. Shift hours Mon-Fri 7am ? 4pm, with on call hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Maintain all primary and secondary/electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts. Troubleshoot and maintain control circuitry, variable frequency drives and all other special electrical systems. Wire outlets, relocate fixtures, lighting and power panels, install such outlets in existing and underground raceways when applicable and required. ? Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems ? Responsible for operation and inspection of emergency generators ? Service batteries and transformers ? Responsible for the completion of all PM and record keeping assigned to his/her areas of responsibility. ? Submit as required electrician?s reports for all work done. ? Make recommendations to his/her supervisor as necessary on the performance of all equipment. ? Respond to emergencies at any time. ? Ensure that safe working conditions are being maintained in all areas under his/her control. ? Working experience with Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO), NFPA, OSHA, and EPA codes and standards ? Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in medical facilities operations or maintenance of buildings greater than 500,000 Sq Ft Qualifications: ? Six to eight years experience in commercial and health care environment. ? Must have successfully completed a four year apprenticeship program or have five years of documented experience in a health care environment. ? Proven in-depth knowledge of Joint Commission, NEC, NFPA and OSHA regulations for health care facilities. ? Proven ability to effectively read, interpret and work from plans, schematics and drawings. ? Strong interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.
