ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Be an active and supportive participant of a healing community • Works in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team (mental health clinicians, and psychiatrists) to develop effective modalities for psychotherapeutic intervention • Utilizes best practices and evidence based practice models where appropriate and adheres to model and Clinic’s expectations • Provides pharmacologic therapeutic interventions as necessary • Makes referrals for further diagnostic psychological or medical testing as needed. • Prepares and maintains documentation, records and reports in a timely manner and in accordance to the Clinic’s practice RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provides psychiatric care to his / her assigned cases • Communicates effectively and relates status of said care to rest of the treatment team • Participates in weekly Intake and Disposition Reviews, as convened by the Outpatient Clinic’s Clinical Director and / or Medical Director • Is accurate and timely with assessments, treatment notes and administrative documents for insurance submission • Collaborate respectfully and professionally with families, community providers relating to clients’ treatment • Attends formal monthly clinical supervision with the Medical Director • Keep current with licensure • Keep current with trauma-focused practices
