Details: NATURE OF POSITION: Responsible for meeting all safety standards in the loading and unloading of cylinder gases per Airgas procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Successfully completes in-house safety and product training: Learns the hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders; how to read and interpret cylinder labels; and the color coding of tanks. • Complies with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases. • Referring to the load sheet for the day’s orders. Accurately loads various trucks for delivery to customers. • Complies with company and DOT guidelines and procedures relating to loading methods, loading for safety, availability of cylinders, and weight distribution. • Assists in the orderly maintenance of the premises, vehicles or cylinders. • Performs other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department. Details: JOB SUMMARY A State Inspector under the leadership of the Production Manager will support the process to satisfy the needs of our customers by conducting state inspections. Essential Functions Listing of essential function (In order of importance) Track in MPI Edge the vehicles that need state inspection to insure promise times are met and cycle time is minimal. Confirm identification of vehicles Confirm proper insurance information that applies to the vehicle being inspected. Inspect vehicles to assure compliance with state regulations Apply inspection stickers to vehicles that pass inspection, for any vehicle that fails the inspection provide paperwork with reasonable explanation of any failures. Document vehicle information accurately in the database Work safely, comply with all safety rules Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area Comply with any and all state guidelines for the proper operation of the state inspection station(s). Maintain a constant inventory of all state inspection stickers for all state inspection stations. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Including Driver's License) Operator's Driver's License; State Inspection License. ASE Certifications preferred.
