Production Entry Level
Details: As a newly hired operator at the facility you will go through extensive training on our safety programs and daily operations. You will be expected to be an active participant in continuing the excellent safety performance of this facility. Additionally you will be responsible for helping to maintain the housekeeping standards that help make this a clean and productive atmosphere to perform your daily tasks. As an operator in training you will be given peer mentoring in the form of job shadowing. You will be assigned to a specific area of the manufacturing process and will learn the duties required in that area by reviewing the standard work written for the job, watching another employee perform the daily tasks and when comfortable will be asked to perform select duties under the oversight of your peer mentor. When you have proven competency on the required tasks you will be asked to take over that position on a daily basis.As an operator in this facility you will perform tasks such as: operating a forklift once certified; performing quality tests according to visual acceptance standards; assist in changeovers of the machine from one product line to another; perform routine preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, safety inspections, lubricating and testing; adjust machine settings to ensure top quality product is being produced and assist other areas as needed during breaks and lunch. All employees are expected to be team players and help others as needed. Additionally operators should have problem solving capabilities and always be looking for ways to improve our processes and programs.
