PARS Statistician

Details: Scope of Position The PARS Statistician is responsible for development and maintenance of the Probe Analytics Risk Score (PARSTM) used to gauge the potential for waste and abuse on a health care claim. The Statistician will define and develop metrics to measure PARS performance and prepare monthly performance reports for management. The Statistician will test and monitor performance of the scoring system as the monthly system enhancements are implemented and recommend changes to the scoring methodology as necessary to maintain performance. The PARS Statistician reports to the SVP of Analytics. Essential Job Functions Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Design and architect of PARS algorithm and enhancements. • Development of PARS performance metrics. • Monthly monitoring and reporting of PARS performance. • Participant in analytics planning and release review teams to ensure that scoring impacts are considered. • Learn and become comfortable with the data model utilized in the analytics system.
