Details: CLINICAL EDUCATOR/INFECTION PREVENTIONIST/EMPLOYEE HEALTH NURSE Come join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System (ABHS), the largest free standing psychiatric hospital system in Arizona. The Clinical Educator/Infection Prevention Employee Health position is currently available at our Tempe hospital. This position combines clinical education and infection prevention/employee health. The Infection Preventionist is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of hospital acquired infections (HAI); educating employees about infection prevention; and the development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection control standards that meet TJC, OSHA, Center of Medicaid/Medicare Services, CDC and other nationally organized agencies recommendations and requirements. The Clinical Educator provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, and leader. The Clinical Educator supports the development of the nursing staff and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development.
