Press Brake Operator

Details: Press Brake Operator (Day and Swing shift) POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes in a just-in-time fabrication shop. May be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Set up and operate a CNC controller to input information into a hydraulic press to produce conforming parts.2. Select correct tooling for the job task using standard and custom punches.3. Load, install and correctly set up the tools.4. Adjust ram and back gauge locations to achieve desired results.5. Ability to use micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments.6. Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.7. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations. 8. Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system. 9. Ability to follow verbal and work instructions from shop floor paperwork and complete and maintain paperwork as required.10. Details: Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCIPrimary Experience:10 YearsPrimary Education Level:Bachelor's Degree Required Experience: Required Education Level: Concentration: Engineering As this Special Program Systems Engineer you will provide integrated support for various USAF acquisition programs within the Fighter Bomber Directorate Special Programs Office, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WWG), at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. Essential Job Functions: The Special Program Office conducts studies to identify new capabilities; transitions laboratory technologies to operational platforms; executes demonstrations; and develops, tests, and rapidly fields new capabilities for the warfighter. In this Engineering Support position you will operate an organizational culture that develops and challenges employees to achieve high performance in a minimally manned, fast-paced, high-morale workplace, and: Apply knowledge of and expertise in DoD, AF and common engineering and scientific principles, criteria and procedures to improve planned and existing AF and joint service weapon system manufacture, operations, re-manufacture and de-militarization operations and oversight. Assist in translating user requirements into system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test and evaluate systems, subsystems and equipment for deployment. Assist with the development of requirements and technology needs into action plans and policies necessary to improve and retain world class manufacturing, operations, re-manufacturing and de-militarization of weapon system capabilities. Perform technical and mission analyses of existing and potential operational requirements. Assist in developing system concepts and perform technological and trade-off study assessments of proposed designs. Develop and review the overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability requirements). Assist with developmental planning support in evaluation of military mission to be accomplished and related requirements documentation; define the set of military missions to be performed. Review and analyze proposals, including regulatory and other policy driver changes or proposed modifications for design feasibility and system compatibility. Review specifications, including system, system segment and equipment specifications, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) involved in programs. Support and conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, lifecycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessment and scheduling trade-off studies. Support and conduct systems analyses to include, but not be limited to, system design or design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessment. Support the development and evaluation of Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Systems Engineering Detail Schedule engineering cost estimates. Evaluates systems test plans and Test and Evaluation Master Plans and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem and component testing. Provide systems and subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development and verification of systems and equipment. Support weapons systems lifecycle including analysis of alternatives, creation of investment strategies, manufacturing, support, and end-of-life processes.
