Supplier Performance/Development Engineer

General Summary: Understand and develop supplier technical and operational capabilities to ensure that they exceed the needs of InSinkErator products. Required interface with all departments, as well as suppliers. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide ongoing support to supplier’s quality, cost, and delivery objectives. • Proactively lead problem solving activities for supplier issues. • Oversee daily processing of supplier quality issues including Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs), Deviation Notices (DNs), and return of nonconforming material to suppliers. Analyze rejected material to understand the root cause and develop reporting that communicates performance with accuracy and insight. This may include completing a Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR). • Manage InSinkErator tooling at suppliers from development through retirement, including conducting annual assessments on tooling wear and life. Plan expense budgets for major repairs and capital budgets for replacements. • Take Supply Chain lead on New Product Development (NPD) Projects at suppliers. Ensure needs and requirements of InSinkErator are communicated and understood by the Supplier, and Supplier’s concerns are communicated and understood by InSinkErator. Integrate suppliers’ skills, capabilities and expertise early in the project to achieve Design for Manufacturability. • Communicate InSinkErator’s quality requirements to suppliers. Maintain the Supplier Handbook to current Quality System requirements. Maintain Supply Chain’s Quality System Documents. • Develop and implement a strategy for improving supplier performance. Develop methods to assess and maintain low variability and high repeatability in supplier process capability. Areas to be considered include design issues, procedure issues, supplier process control, gauging, tooling and other continuing issues that affect performance. Appropriate methods and concepts that apply in supplier development include Quality System Training, conducting Design of Experiments, and applying Lean Six Sigma concepts. • Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for changes affecting critical and key characteristics on purchased parts. Communicate changes to the Strategic Sourcing Group when changes may affect price. Ensure purchased part prints are necessary and correct to suppliers: utilize industry standard call-outs; accurately reference current standards, such as ASTM, MPIF, IFI; transfer internal material testing and specifications to suppliers. • Perform Capability studies and Part Process Approvals for InSinkErator purchased parts. • Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements Knowledge, Skill and Ability: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline or other related field plus a minimum of 1 year experience or a minimum of 9 years relevant work experience. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is desirable. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products. Fluent in reading technical documents and specifications. Working Conditions: Fast-paced Supply Chain and Manufacturing environment, including tight deadlines, daily meetings, interaction with multiple departments, and supplier visits. Details: Operates refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. Oversees work of helpers assisting on assigned route; performs pre-trip and post-trip truck check and cleaning; and performs other related work as assigned. Safely drives truck on pre-established route in accordance with Decision Driving principles within prescribed time. Collects and dumps garbage and refuse into refuse trucks while covering a designated route in a residential zone. Unloads refuse trucks at the landfill, transfer station, or similar facility. Maintains clean truck and washes exterior weekly. Inspect/Clean Truck: Lift hood, inspect under the hood, walk around and check under carriage; pump gas, check fluid levels and air tires - Uses air gauge, dipstick for levels, and gas pump nozzle for gas fill. Performs a variety of manual duties in the clean-up of scattered refuse; moves and empties large trash bins using truck hydraulics; Prepares, maintains, and submits required company and regulation-mandated reports and documents; Responsible for all persons working on vehicle during the designated route. Must comply with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles. May be required to work during emergency situations.

Responsibilities: Automotive service technicians diagnose and repair- brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, computer systems, and any other system. Automotive service technicians will explain technical diagnoses to service advisors. Job Responsibilities As a Staff Therapist, you will evaluate and lead your patients through a full range of therapy treatments based on treatment plans developed in cooperation with referring physicians and in a manner consistent with qualifications and standards of practice. Your specific duties in this role will include: Identifying and participating in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment Observing, recording, and reporting to the nurse/physician the resident’s reaction to the therapy program or any changes in the resident’s condition Submitting to the physician and Supervisor appropriate written reports of the resident’s progress at the designated intervals Assisting in determining the needs of the resident and in developing the total plan of care Supervising, if needed, Aides and Therapist Assistants and co-sign Therapist Assistants’ progress notes, dependent upon discipline specific state practice acts Instructing, teaching, and supervising residents and staff regarding therapy procedures within scope of practice as related to resident’s therapy programs Completing timely clinical documentation to support skilled services delivered Providing consistent, effective, and constructive feedback to support staff Gathering pertinent data from appropriate sources (resident, family, medical records) in order to assess resident’s prior functional level and document appropriately Determining psychosocial needs and resources of the resident Completing other special projects and duties as assigned
