Responsible for investigating Workers Compensation injuries to determine root causes and develop preventative measures. Essential Functions Support a safety culture. Design, implement and sustain policies and procedures as they relate to safety. Administer OSHA compliance programs. Develop, track, and analyze safety statistics and establish corrective action programs. Coordinate safety events. Act as safety resource for all employees and management. Controls all Workers Compensation activities. Responsible for housekeeping throughout the plant. Conducts safety reviews and recommendations on new projects. Conducts on-site safety audits. Initiates employee involvement into safety programs via new employee orientations and on-going training programs. Understand and comply with all lockout/tagout procedures. Hands-on, job specific safety training for employees on a regular basis. Must work in a safe and ethical manner at all times.
