Details: Boat Pilot Position Summary - Boat Pilot The prime objective of the boat Pilot is to operate the vessel while the Captain / Relief Captain are off watch. While on watch, the Pilot is responsible for the safety of vessel personnel, and will be responsible for all barges in tow.
