Operational Excellence Representative

Details: GENCO Transportation Logistics is currently interviewing for a Operational Excellence Representative for our Green Bay division. The Operational Excellence Representative (OER) role is a multi-faceted position responsible for learning the day-to-day operational process of multiple customer accounts and providing seamless coverage for teammates who are unavailable due to vacation, travel, etc. The primary support needed includes problem resolution and building customer relationships at the operational level. Details: Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Provide planning support for designated area(s); ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP). Utilize network balance capacity tools to determine location of trucks and available customer loads; tailor planning to meet area needs. Collaborate with other Planning Center teams to coordinate Network needs/opportunities and execute agreed upon strategic plans. Communicate late pickups and/or deliveries, as well as any other load changes, to appropriate department personnel. Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations & Safety Compliance guidelines; validate driver hours of service to safely and legally facilitate the delivery of loads, honor specific driver/company requests related to operations/safety training, research driver issues regarding non-compliance items (overweight loads, load routing, hours of operation, equipment type, etc.) and provide resolution accordingly to meet legal requirements. Forward unresolved issues to appropriate internal departments for resolution. Communicate professionally, effectively, and timely with both internal and external customers/contacts. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations. Details: The Account Manger is responsible for contacting all customers who’s Rental Agreements have expired and working with them in whatever way feasible to maintain the account. This position, though requiring extensive telephone collection type activity, is more a sales than collections job. The Account Manager’s priority is to re-sell the Rental Agreement and educate the customer rather than simply calling to collect money. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Contact all customers whose Rental Agreements have expired for non-renewal and determine the customer’s need, expectation or problem. This will most often be done by phone but may require going to the customer’s residence to either discuss their account or pick up the merchandise either at the customer’s request or as a dictated by Company Policy. POSITIONSUMMARY The Customer Service Representative will interact withcustomers to provide World Class Service in order processing, delivery, andproduct information. Flexibility, availability, and the ability to set theright priorities are essential to the success of this position. The idealcandidate will enjoy a work environment characterized by frequent changes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive and handle customer orders, including dispatching to different carriers Adjust customer demand forecast (1-3 weeks) to ensure demand is accurately and timely represented in the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process. Provide back-up Customer Service duties as necessary. Assist in training and being trained in other cross-functional duties within the department/region Ensure the integrity of the regional invoicing system to ensure invoices are accurately processed in a timely manner. Maintain existing customer master information by making changes provided by the sales representative or customer or requesting the changes be made. Work with internal cross-functional departments (Accounts Receivable, Credit, Accounts Payable, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and other Customer Service Representatives) to ensure customer questions and problems are resolved.
