Provide requested services while meeting safety codes, specifications and budgetary limitations. Ensures the new systems are compatible with existing systems and operate without causing an overload. You will be successful in this role by utilizing your past experience and education to maintain and improve the manufacturing process for current products, support changes to current products, and new product introductions. Knowledge of Safety, Lean Six Sigma, PFMEA, PPAP, is required to be successful in this position. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and continually improve manufacturing processes in terms of quality, safety, cost, delivery and communication. Creates process plans and documentation for new product introduction Responsible for production processes and problem solving Adheres to the quality plans and support of ISO objectives Responsible for perishable tooling and cost in responsible areas Conducts cost and feasibility studies Provide information and data for ergonomic, time, and safety studies. Responsible for methods and control plans in current processes for assembly of 2 stroke, 4 stroke, and inboard stern drive motors. Achieve goal of completing a minimum of two (2) yearly projects towards facility or manufacturing process improvement Assist in overall improvement of facility safety standards Working knowledge of local, state, and federal safety (OSHA) compliance and standards Responsible for acquisition and justification of new equipment Approval of BOM's related to manufacturing Assist in the development of manufacturing strategy. Provide coaching and mentoring for peers.
