The Regional Environmental and Safety Specialist will report to the Corporate Environmental Manager and have dotted line reporting to the Plant Manager of the Indianapolis, IN location for their safety initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate and monitor the environmental, health and safety program compliance, of regional facilities, with corporate, local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Conducting internal audits and serving as the primary contact with EPA, state and OSHA regulatory agencies. Provide guidance and oversight for stormwater, air and water air quality. Manage tracking and reporting requirements. Assist with permitting for air, stormwater and waste regulations. Monitor compliance with air emissions and stormwater discharges, and hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs. Evaluate the facility’s environmental compliance and recommend and assist with the development and implementation of corrective actions. Manage potential safety impacts in a cost effective manner, evaluating products to ensure no risk to associates or customers.
