Basic Function An Engineer Cad Tech Trainee is responsible to prepare documents that define our products while assisting Engineering and Product Development employees. While doing their job, a successful Eng Cad Tech Trainee will provide documents that are easy to read and understand. Specific Duties Work with Engineering and Product Development to create aluminum extrusion, part drawings and fabrication and submission drawings using AutoCAD. The documents will be used by all departments and shall be easy to read and understand. Work with Engineering and Product Development to create assembly documents using AutoCAD and Inventor. The documents will be used by all departments and shall be easy to read and understand. Utilize software packages to generate complete and accurate Bill of Materials information, accurate cutting, machining and assembly information for a given order or window series. Anticipate potential problems with standards and work with Engineering and Product Development to resolve issues. Qualifications 1+ years related experience preferred. Associates Degree in an Engineering related program preferred. Proven proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor and Microsoft Office. To be able to multitask; while performing attention to detail and ability to check there own work. Self directed organized and require minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential function of this job.
