Welder/Door Shop Technician
Details: SUMMARY The job responsibilities for this position include all aspects of the preparation of hollow metal/stainless steel doors and panels including door hardware preps (locks, hinges, strikes, closers, etc.), door lite preparation (cutting opening, kit installation, glazing, etc.), installing reinforcements, custom sizing of doors, and metal work. More specifically, the job activities include interpretation of shop orders, shop drawings and hardware templates to prep door/panel components to specifications. The prepping process includes arc welding, cutting, grinding/polishing, cleaning of metal, touch-up spray painting, cutting and installing glass and packaging. Other activities include: fork lift operation, raw material inventory management and other material handling activities.
