Accounts Payable Specialist

Details: SUMMARY Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing a variety of duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list of duties may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary. Match invoices to receiving documents. Post invoices into the computer system. Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks. Manages Risks and Issues, plans for mitigation and contingency, and escalates appropriately. Participates in the project level meetings for Reviews & Inspections including Project Confirmation, Requirements and Functional Design. Assesses the perceived Quality, analyzes the business impact, determines associated technical and functional risks and if any corrective/preventive actions need to be taken. Attends the Project Status meetings or any Operating Committee meetings and updates the QA status to the stakeholders. Communicates regularly with the Project Manager on Test Estimation, Staffing needs and any changes. Coordinates test environment setup with the Project Lead and Technical lead for planned test execution. Performs manual testing on various software, e-commerce systems and reporting systems. Validates that user expectations are achieved during the testing process Identifies and communicates business risks relative to testing and implementation for evaluation by project teams and management Ensures that defects uncovered in the test are recorded, summarized and utilized in post project reviews in an effort to improve the development and test processes Coordinates defect triage meetings and manages the defect lifecycle.
