Reporting to the Manager of Research & Development, this position is responsible for the production and documentation of first build prototype and pre-production products. This individual works with the DSM Supply Chain Team to manage inventory levels and stock outs and helps maintain and build current supplier relationships and supply chains. Essential Job Functions and Leadership Responsibilities: Supply Management Assist in developing entire supply chain including inventory management, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution of products. Help drive greater efficiencies or reinvent current supply chains as necessary to better address customers’ needs. Assist in creation of agreements with suppliers. Assist Supply Chain Managers with administrative tasks – quote/bid generation, project files, cost loading and supplier file maintenance. Provide reports and analysis on key supply chain metrics Supplier Relations Maintain effective relationships with current supplier base. Assist in negotiating cost and lead times with Supply Chain Managers on an annual basis. Serve as an escalation point for any customer service, operational and quality issues that may arise. Project Management Serve as a resource on project teams. Assist Project Manager with creating and managing to the project schedule. Create support documents to maximize ease of product use and for aftermarket support.
