Reconcile and adjust, if required, all general ledger accounts related to payroll and taxes. Coordinate and schedule tax audits, provide required data and responses to audit requests, verify results, research relevant tax statutes, formulate defense strategies, expedite final settlements and implement required corrective action. Study and research laws and regulations to ensure compliance with statutes, maximize tax savings opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce the overall tax burden. Act as the primary contact with external consultants and our internal corporate tax staff on all tax related matters including annual audits and compliance testing for company retirement plans. Prepare and/or reviews calculations for both current and deferred income tax expense for financial reporting and tax filing purposes including preparing internal forms required to analyze and report the various components of both the tax expense and any balance sheet items. Prepare projections of future tax expenses and provides necessary input for cash flow projections, capital budgeting and strategic planning. Prepare updates and maintain all internal procedures, forms, checklists and guidelines related to any and all forms of taxation and conducts internal training as required. Manage all areas of taxation for the North American operations including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and future ventures in all jurisdictions which report to the North American Headquarters. Prepare all tax and accounting records for all entities created specifically for tax planning purposes such as Holdings companies.
