Set stops and calibrate fixture or work piece to material reference points. Install machine programs. Recognize errors in programming and operations, and to correct such errors. " Assist in the training and setting up of lathe machines for new and inexperienced operators. Diagnose operational difficulties and make appropriate remedial adjustments to realign the machine. Lathe Machinist will work from complicated drawings, specifications, programs, set-up instructions, and data.
