Procurement Accountant

This position reports to the CFO and the Controller. This position is based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Procurement Accountant is a critical participant in daily and month-end analysis processing, research and reconciling of sales and purchase transactions. This position will ensure that all daily/monthly debits and credits are accurately posted in the appropriate general ledger. This position will also execute time-sensitive activities involving the purchase and sale of materials, equipment and supplies for the company. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. One (1) - Two (2) years of accounting experience. MS Office with strong Excel skills; experience with MS Dynamics GP a plus. Responsibilities: Generate intercompany invoices and monitor account receivables. Perform reconciliations of transactions between the company and others. Implement and maintain tracking tools for document retention to audit adherence of defined processes.
