Details: Our Allenton location currently seeks to fill the position of Experienced Brake Press Operator – 2nd Shift Preferred Candidate must be able to set up and operate hydraulic brake presses. Maysteel's Allenton facility is located approximately one hour north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This 230,000-square foot facility was built in 1975 and is the home of our Tech Center, which was established in 1994. This facility provides concurrent engineering, product development and rapid prototyping with state-of-the-art metal joining techniques, demand flow manufacturing and high-level assembly capabilities with full EDI support for our contract customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Perform both routine and complex set-up operations related to brake press. • Work with Technician and Group Leader employees to acquire skills required for promotion to Technician level. Specifically, trains on other related departmental equipment and/or processes to achieve multiple operator skills. • Recommend and select proper tooling for required tasks, as well as recommend productive process changes. • Work from routings, manufacturing instruction sheets, blueprints, visual aids, or other instructions to manufacture product at required quality levels. • Perform basic inspection and SPC for measuring product quality as it relates to job skill. • Performs routine maintenance on equipment and maintains a clean and orderly work environment. • May assist in training new employees .
