Process Automation Technician

Details: Process Automation Technician Provide support and sustain services for a diverse set of process control systems. • Serve as Project Lead on small PLC/MMI (Programmable Logic Controller / Man Machine Interface) and DCS (Distributed Control System) process control system projects from start to finish utilizing GPM (Global Project Methodology). • Routinely implement minor upgrades and expansions to process control systems utilizing GPM. • Perform process control (including PLC/MMI) system hardware and software audits. • Debug process control system, PLC, and MMI hardware and software problems. • Maintain updated program documentation and system program backups. • Work as part of an integrated design team to meet project requirements and deliverables. • Work as part of project team to provide facility startup coverage. Position exists to drive trucks with capacity of more than 3 tons and to transport materials to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Drive trucks to destinations in the Manawa area. Drive a semi-tractor or “yard-horse” to move and “spot” semi-trailers. This involves hooking up to a semi-trailer, pulling it away from the dock door, getting out of the semi-tractor to close the trailer doors, driving trailer to another warehouse, getting out of the tractor to open the trailer doors, then backing into the warehouse dock door. Trailers are delivered 1 to 2 miles. Maintain truck log according to all state or federal regulations. Maintain a “trip sheet” that tracks the number of the trailer moved, from which dock door to which dock door at what building. Maintain telephone or radio or CB contact with plants to receive delivery instructions. Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. On rare occasion, the truck driver is asked to use a forklift to load or unload a semi-trailer. Secure all trailers with a seal if not going directly into a door. Close all trailer doors after pulling out of door as soon as possible. Report all damages or needed repairs to Manager as soon as possible. Other duties may be assigned.
