QA Automation Engineer III

Details: Position Summary The QA Automation Engineer - III will be responsible for assisting Kaplan Technology to deliver high quality software to our students and customers. This person will be instrumental in helping the Software Quality Assurance team with day to day software automation testing. This person will also assist with the overall long term Software Quality Assurance strategy by their involvement with developing, implementing, and standardizing our software automation test framework. Key Job Responsibilities Develop and implement automation test frameworks to help standardize automation testing. Gather requirements from user stories and analysis models in order to design automation test scripts. Develop and execute automation test scripts to test software. Drive testing across the organization by coordinating with project teams on items such as: Bug tracking, test prioritization, and release. Assist with establishing QA department best practices, processes, and procedures May be asked to lead and direct the work of small to medium sized QA teams May provide technical guidance to junior analysts and/or associates Other job duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. 5+ years of hands on experience with enterprise software testing Experience in Lieu of Education: Two years experience for every year of formal education required. Experience using industry standard automation tools both open source and/or commercial. (e.g. Selenium, SOAPUI) Ability to write and edit automation test scripts using a programming language (e.g. Java, ,PHP, Python, .NET) Experience working with Windows and/or Linux operating systems Experience developing and executing SQL scripts Knowledge and experience conducting different types of tests including but not limited to: Regression, functional, integration, automation, load/performance, whitebox, and blackbox. HVAC Test Technician
