Product Support Engineer

Details: Immediate need for a Product Support Engineer to start with a huge company. This position will quote and design needed parts for new packages or upgrades for Dry End equipment. They also will provide technical support to internal and external customers on questions regarding parts, machines, different processes, changeovers, etc. and other general questions regarding company product uses and applications. Qualifications: 1. A 4 year college Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the packaging industry experience is required. 2. Knowledge of Solid Edge or other 3D design packages, CAD experiences a plus. 3. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Plumbing installation,repair, and maintenance of piping and associated equipmentand components located in the interior and exterior of building.Installs, repairs, and maintains mechanical/electrical operatingequipment and machinery. Regularly conducts a routine andon-going assessment of the building systems operations.Performs tests, rounds and analyzes data to assure the properfunctioning of departmental equipment. Monitors the operation of allmechanical & electrical operating equipment. Principal Job Duties andResponsibilities: Oversee and monitor the operationand make adjustments of refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, electrical,emergency backup systems and hot water systems; monitors operation,adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and airconditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilatingand hot water heaters; pumps, valves,piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; recordreadings and make adjustments where necessary to assure properoperation of equipment. Requires the ability toanalyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause ofany problems/malfunctions and takecorrective action as required. Performs preventive maintenance onall base building and critical system equipment which includes but notlimited to: assembling all tools, supplies and instruments necessaryto complete the job, performing work with a minimum amount disruption,conducting immediate clean up of work area, completing thepreventive task sheet, returning tools to workshop, and unused supplies tostore room, reporting any impending supply or material shortages tothe Operations Manager or Lead Engineer ofany equipment problems. Install and repairsplumbing/piping/tubing; wire single and threephase motors; run conduit; pull wiringto machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.; install and rebuild pumpsand motors; install and rebuild air compressors; heat exchangers;replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; installand repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls;assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenanceof building and equipment. Installs, repairs, and maintains electricalcontrols, switching and motor controls Monitors operation and maintainsrefrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment; boilers,heating, ventilating and hot water equipment; pumps, valves, pipingand filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; recordingreadings as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment;responsible for reporting anyproblems/malfunctions Maintains tools and orderssupplies as required for installation and repairs. Keeps logs, documentsequipment repairs, closes work orders, tracks time accurately in reportsand provides timely and constant communication with the OperationsManager and Lead Engineer. Complies with departmental policyfor the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.Maintains a clean and safe work space. Performs other duties asassigned.
