Equipment Tech

Details: Responsible for distributing, locating, and cleaning of reusable patient care equipment and portable oxygen tanks, making sure unit-based par levels of clean, functioning equipment is maintained at all times. Provides additional patient care supply & equipment support duties as delegated. Essential Functions: Collaborates with the leaders of the patient care units to establish unit based equipment par levels, and to adjust as needed. Collects and reports utilization data in support of optimal access and efficient use. Delivers fully functioning equipment to patient care units in an expedient manner, meeting the time frames expected by the patient care unit Directors. Cleans all equipment per manufacturers’ specifications. Makes sure all equipment is properly charged at all times. Collaborates with the Biomedical Department staff to process equipment in need of repair or preventative maintenance in a timely manner. Serves as the point of contact to access rental equipment during work hours. Monitors use and collaborates with the leaders of the patient care units to assure immediate return when no longer needed. Works closely with the House Supervisors to assure the equipment management process is sustained after hours. Monitors par levels of oxygen tanks on each unit. Actively participates in the Medical Emergency (Code) cart exchange process. Scope of the job responsibility may change significantly over the first few months of the job. Additional Responsibilities: May be assigned additional duties to support equipment and supply management for the patient care units.

Here is preview of their work: Initiating : Our PMs will begin every project after receiving direction from Capital Planning team. The PM will begin by forming the project team, therefore, an outgoing personality, good communication, and strong negotiation skills are a must. They will issue Requests for Proposals and Quotes to our Consultants/Engineering Firms to begin the design efforts that will drive the project into execution. Planning : A general +/- budget will be provided with each assigned project, and it is the responsibility of the PM to refine the scope of the project, with the assistance of the project team and consulting engineering firm, to end up with a +/- 10% confidence level budget. They will hold periodical meetings (usually weekly) for each project (between 3 and 10 projects varying in size from $500k up to $10M) with the project team, maintain an action list of items to discuss, publish meeting minutes, and refine the business case to be presented forward for approval to execute. The PM/designer should have the strength and diplomacy to challenge the status quo and maintain the project team focused on the deliverables required versus what is nice to have. Executing/Monitoring/Controlling : Once the project is approved, the PM will work with the Consulting firm and Construction Managers to issue for construction bids, purchase equipment and materials, and begin construction of the project. During Constructability Reviews, the technical expertise and problem solving skills of the PM/designer, will lead them to identify Value Engineering opportunities to make the project deliver the best solution at the optimal cost to the enterprise, meaning, they should look for opportunities to deliver the same quality results, while minimizing interruptions to operations, and doing so cost effectively. The PM will be required to control cost and quality, holding daily construction meetings as required, ensuring that safety is of the utmost priority. They will have to maintain the forecast of the project expenditure, provide Estimates at Completion, and deliver the project to the satisfaction of the customer. Closing: PM is responsible for documenting when the project has been completed, conduct startup audits, and validate performance guarantees on installed equipment. The Brewing projects vary in content from: malt handling, milling, brewhouse operations, cold services (fermenting and aging), filtration processes and beer delivery, amongst others.

Sprays stumps and brush with hand-spraying equipment to prevent further growth. Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper. Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment, as assigned and keeps trucks and work area clear and orderly, as well as helps train new employees.
