Essential Job Functions: • Oversee design of all components within the electrical engineering discipline including switches, control boards, motors, etc. Create, review and approve design documentation including specifications and drawings. • Create and modify Functional Requirement Specifications for control systems for use in external control board and software design. Develop test plans to verify control board and software functionality and robustness. • Support NPI design teams in electrical engineering discipline with respect to new and existing design content including components, subsystem design and optimization. • Evaluate and qualify supplier base for electrical components including but not limited to switches, solenoids, control boards, motors, etc. Based on construction and also evaluate based on UL, EN, EMC/EMI or other safety standards. • Participate and provide technical leadership on PCTO, quality improvement, and sustaining engineering teams • Provide application engineering support, product issue analysis, and other expert advice to operations, service, and marketing • Provide technical support and leadership relating to product liability including field investigation, root cause analysis and litigation support. • Explore new technologies and provide guidance on the application for new and existing products.
