Job Summary: The Mgr Critical Product manages the process related to procuring critical products and high volume clinical items. Responsibilities: Ensures that all services and activities regarding critical high volume supplies are planned, implemented, maintained and evaluated. Works collaboratively with Supply Chain and Health Ministries to ensure alignment and achievement of goals. Coordinates trials and introduction of new supplies. Provides project management for product conversions within the organization. Works collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders on local and national implementations to ensure achievement of hospital and Ascension Health goals. Liaison between end-users of critical supply items clinical or non-clinical. Responsible for appropriate procurement and use of critical high volume supplies and equipment based on Decision Team and financial analyses within the critical supply area. Coordinates trials, training and introduction of new critical supplies and services with staff and physicians. Leads cost reduction strategies with the critical supply areas that engage physicians, clinicians, and administration. Collaborates with nurses and physicians and other hospital departments as needed. Qualifications Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field from four year college or university is required. Bachelor’s degree in business or nursing-related field preferred and three to five years of clinical experience in surgery or other patient care units.
