Payroll Tax Administrator

Details: Payroll Tax Administrator Job Description Quad/Graphics is seeking a Payroll Tax Administrator with the skills and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment. You will work at our Sussex location, the headquarters of the second largest printer in the World. This position offers an innovative and dynamic work environment, where you will be part of a team responsible for processing payroll for employees nationwide. Earn the opportunity to take on projects while ensuring employees and payroll taxes are paid timely and accurately. Play an integral role as we transition payroll from PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion Payroll. Qualified candidates will have at least five years of experience preparing multi-state tax returns within large and/or complex organizations (manufacturing environment preferred) or two years public accounting tax experience. Monitor, manage and reconcile payroll taxes at the employer and employee level. Assist with reconciliation to the general ledger as well to PeopleSoft payroll reports. Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations. Collaborate with Payroll team on process improvement, record management, and internal customer service. The successful candidate must be a positive, credible professional who is also an effective problem-solver with strong communication skills; accurate, customer oriented, able to handle multiple priorities with deadlines, and have intermediate knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (including Access & Excel). Tax administration or filing experience is required. Experience using HRIS (i.e. PeopleSoft) is also desired. Essential Functions: Responsible for all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing local, state, and federal payroll tax returns Researches and advises payroll staff concerning the treatment of complex transactions. Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate filings by tax service provider. Responsible for Payroll Tax notices and correspondence Reconcile payroll taxes to the general ledger and book journal entries. Administer annual W-2 process Additional Responsibilities: Special projects and research. Gather and report requested data to internal and external recipients.
