Project Engineer - R & D

Details: Under the direction of the Manager-Research & Development, the Project Engineer designs, develops and follows project(s) until completion. Job Responsibilities Design and develop compressor and/or package units, meeting engineering specifications while ensuring the meeting of company production and quality standards and customer specifications. Develop programs that completely and adequately test Vilter products under varying conditions using established engineering concepts. Manage projects from inception to completion. Ensure proper engineering principles and applications are followed. Review drawings, make recommendations to improve design, reduce cost or increase production efficiency. Verify, evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Analyze indicated and calculated test results in relations to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications. Assist in pre‑job planning, scheduling and management. Participate on cross functional teams to address and resolve problems and ensure the continuous, improvements of level of quality. Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method. Use computer and software to record, analyze, verify, and/or communicate results and recommendations. Responsibilities include: Balance and reconcile transactions, journal entries and general ledger accounts from supporting schedules to assure that financial role is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Submit adjustments to the Assistant Controller or Accountants for proper review with support and analysis for authorization and subsequent entry Preparation of month-end original and any adjusting journal entries Prepare necessary documents, schedules and / or forms to support the tax, audit, budget, and forecast processes Create and distribute all financial reports and other accounting department mailings Provide assistance to other accounting areas as assigned by the Assistant Controller (i.e. division / section accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting) Maintain documented process procedures as well as recommends and implements process improvements using quality management tools and techniques (Process Improvement tools, skills and abilities) Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller
