Details: ETS (Educational Testing Services) is currently recruiting for Test Raters to score students’ written responses for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). This is a work-from-home position that can be part time (4 hours per day) or full time (8 hours per day). You will receive training and certification. The pay rate for scoring is $13 an hour. CAASPP is a statewide assessment program managed and administered by ETS under contract with the California Department of Education and the California State Board of Education. Beginning with the 2015 administration, the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment in English language arts/literacy (ELA) and Mathematics will be administered to about 3.4 million students in grades 3–8 and 11. The Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment will replace existing tests in ELA and Mathematics. Administered online, these new assessments adapt to each student’s ability, giving teachers and parent’s better information to help students succeed. Scoring will take place from March 2015 through July 2015. Raters who successfully pass the certification exam will be eligible to score the assessments.
