Details: Northwind Technical Services, Inc. offers professional mapping, CAD and utility engineering services for customers across the United States and around the world. Our clients include utilities, telecommunications companies, municipalities, counties and engineering and architectural firms. Position Summary Under the direction of the President, the PermitCoordinator is responsible for the tracking and permitting of company projects.This person acts as a liaison between permitting authorities and the projectteam, ensuring that project permitting requirements and timelines are met. Principal Dutiesand Responsibilities Assist in the execution of the project, including preparation of project documentation, maps, and CAD drawings; requesting locates, identifying permit requirements and filing permit applications. Monitor progress of projects. Meet with internal and external customers with prepared reports to provide progress updates, answer questions, document any requested/required changes to project plans and communicate achievement of key measurable milestones. Coordinate with engineering team, assist in managing project resource allocation, provide direction and support to the team regarding project and permit status as they relate to deadlines. Assist co-workers in complying with industry-accepted codes, practices and safety standards. Obtain plans and GIS data from various sources to assist with project documents. Develop working relationships with Management, Project Managers, Foremen, and other co-workers to address and resolve problems and work in a cooperative manner to achieve company goals. Stay current in new developments in permitting requirements. Complete timesheets, expense reports, mileage reports, and other job related paperwork. Other duties as may be necessary or assigned by Management.
