Applications Engineering Supervisor

Details: Applications Engineering Supervisor Under the direction of the Sales AdministrationManager, the Applications Engineering Supervisor is responsible for theoperation of the Application Engineering Department relating to the preparationof quotations, and order entry to meet the expectations of the customer. Supervisesthe Application Engineering Department in accordance with company policies andprocedures. Delegation of duties to Application Engineers. Ensure that the Application Engineers are supporting field sales force including regional sales managers, representatives and distributors. Ensure that the Application Engineers are supporting direct customers. Assist in preparation of quotations for equipment in a timely manner. Includes equipment and accessory selection, pricing, commercial terms, specification review and technical and commercial comments and exceptions as required. Able to assist with the specification and selection of sub-vender accessory equipment. Able to assist with the review, comments, and negotiation of contractual terms and conditions. Ensure clean new equipment orders are accurately and expeditiously entered into the system. Assist Contract Administration, Technology, and Operations, as required, in processing the order to completion. Assist in the review and refinement of working departmental practices and procedures. This may include participation in ISO audits, software selection and implementation, form creation and maintenance, initiating procedural changes and review of engineering change orders. Maintain Application Engineering department operation functions and procedures concerning preparation of quotations and order processing. Ensure proper, accurate records, files, databases, etc. are maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility. Provide reports for quotations, orders and other pertinent activity as requested by supervisor. Resolve personnel and task related problems in accordance with company policies. Be responsible for interviewing, hiring and training Application Engineer employees; for planning, assigning, and directing work; for appraising performance by rewarding and disciplining employees. Participate in team and special project activities upon request by supervisor. Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within and between departments. Maintains safe work practices and an orderly/safe-working environment. Keeps Sales Administration Manager aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting supervisor’s knowledge, action and/or resolution. Provides feedback and advice to Product Marketing and Sales in reference to acceptable contract terminology and impact of specific project commitments on the organization. Job Description: Will be tasked with implementing and setting up plumbing fixtures at various construction sites and pipe-fitting/ pipe measuring to ensure that the job is completed on time. Will need to be able to work with on site managers to go over site blueprints and be able to interpret the blueprints with the help of a manager. Will be required to be of Active Journeyman Plumber status in the State of Wisconsin since employees will be working on a construction site.Will be repairing fixtures, hot water heaters, toilets, backflow preventers, clearing drain lines, repairing leaks and any other duties involved in service work.
