Details: Position Overview: This position will support continuous improvement and expansion efforts by providing hands on technical support for projects, by providing trouble shooting assistance concerning manufacturing issues, by assisting in the implementation of solutions and by contributing to solution development through root cause analysis. Responsibilities Specific duties include: Assume responsibility for tooling improvements across material families (e.g., plastics, soft metals). Independently identify, research and develop solutions to machining related issues. Carry out experimentation (both independently and under the supervision of Applied Development personnel), often on the production floor operating CNC equipment. Assist in implementing solutions on the production floor. Work with manufacturing engineers, machinists and production personnel to improve processes, tooling and fixturing. Provide technical and project assistance as needed to Applied Development personnel. Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance. Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures. Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
