These coders would be responsible for coding all inpatient record types, including Transplants, Pediatrics, OB, Surgery, and Hem-Onc and more. Candidates can start coding at 4am and stop no later than midnight. If we have people who are working they can do this as extra work. We need candidates who are open to training at least one day during normal business hours. The rest can be done outside of 8-5. They hold their team to 15 charts per day: 1 chart should take 27 minutes on average. They are also held to a 95% quality standard.

Supervises assigned department staff. Oversees, directs, coordinates and prioritizes the daily activities of assigned staff. Establishes deadlines for conducting assigned tasks and assists in formulating an overall timetable for conducting clinical trials. Monitors progress of assigned tasks and instigates corrective action to meet agreed deadlines. Estimate resource needs and assists in developing budget projections. Interviews potential candidates for open positions and makes hiring recommendations. Establishes performance standards for assigned activities and reviews output to ensure standards are consistently met. Conducts performance evaluations for direct reports and assists direct reports with performance evaluation process. Provides support, direction and coaching to assigned staff in areas of hiring, training, disciplinary action, problem resolution, planning and work assignment delegation. Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines regarding the conduct of clinical trials (cGCP). Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules and regulations. Performs related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge and Skills: Pertinent Federal and State laws related to Pharmaceutical industry, Current FDA and Drug Enforcement Agency clinical requirements and cGMP’s. Current clinical research procedures and practices Federal regulations and guidance concerning the conduct of clinical research including Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Business, scientific and personal computer hardware and software applications. Business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration. Administration, supervision and training practices and methods. Recruiting, interviewing and selecting of applicants in accordance with established employment practices and methods. Current Company policies, practices and procedures, including safety rules and regulations. Skill in: Analyzing and troubleshooting problems, identifying solutions, recommending and implementing methods, procedures and/or techniques for resolution. Creating, planning and implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources. Responding to inquiries from management, employees and regulatory agencies. Preparing, presenting and administering large, complex budgets and financial reports. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and vision to monitor, and moderate to loud noise levels. Incumbents may be exposed to toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, dangerous tools and equipment and the antibiotics penicillin and cephalosporin. Work is performed in office and laboratory environments. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical or related field from an accredited college or university, and 5 – 7 years pharmaceutical experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or management capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Social Worker Case Manager -North & Northwest, IL

Details: This position requires a combination of working from your home as well as working within various medical homes. The territory covered is North and Northwest, IL (Waukegan, North Chicago, etc.) Mileage is reimbursed. Overview: The Social Worker Case Manager provides coordination, education and outreach services to Coordinated Care Entity (CCE) participants and their families/guardians. The Social Worker Case Manager supports the delivery of care coordination/case management services by removing barriers to the process if they fall within the realm of social work and enlists community resources. Primary responsibilities include assessing social service needs, identifying and addressing social barriers to members achieving optimal health care status, such as lack or inaccessibility of housing, transportation, utilities, or food. Additional responsibilities include assisting providers in accessing medically necessary specialty care services and ensuring members access to appropriate preventive services. When identified clinical coordinator, this position will convene and facilitate Interdisciplinary Care Team (IDCT) meetings. This position will supervise Resource Navigators assigned to care team. This position requires licensure in a health discipline that allows the professional to conduct an assessment independently within the scope of practice of their discipline. Responsibilities: Completes psychosocial assessments Identifies care needs and goals based upon: o assessment findings o analysis of claims data o provider input to CCE participant and parent/caregiver expressed goals When acting as assigned clinical coordinator, establishes Care Plan, in conjunction with CCE participant and parents/caregivers and key providers. Plan shall identify: Essential primary, specialty, and ancillary services and providers Needed social support and services and identified community-based organizations that can address those needs Educational needs of participant and/or caregivers to enhance self-management and appropriate utilization of providers to address psychological, developmental and/or medical conditions Potential barriers to meeting goals and plan for mitigating barriers Individualized disaster preparedness plan When acting as assigned clinical coordinator, convenes and facilitates Interdisciplinary Care Team meetings to ensure communication and coordination between CCE participant, parent/caregivers, and key healthcare and support service providers Monitors clinical and functional status of participants through regular face to face contact and convenes IDCT meetings on an ad hoc basis to address gaps in care or barriers to successful implementation of Care Plan Maintains and ensures the confidentiality of all Personal Health Information (PHI) collected and disseminated, in accordance with HIPAA requirements Provides CCE participants and parents/caregivers with education required to care for child in home/community Directs, as appropriate, the Resource Navigator with regard to: Scheduling appointments Linking participant and family/guardian to community based organizations and services Follow up with/support for participant and family/guardian Communication with/support for providers Participates in relevant continuing education offerings to enhance knowledge base needed to oversee care for specialty populations Participates in all program specific training programs Other Responsibilities: Adheres to all policies and procedures Maintains strict confidentiality of client, company and personnel information Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: 1-2 staff
