Reviews and edits computer generated bills. Invoices residents/patients/clients, insurance companies, or other third party payers. Contact, counsel and document collection efforts with respect to existing and discharged residents’/patients’/clients’ accounts, as required. Identify, resolve and refer complaints in a timely and appropriate manner. Review aged accounts for appropriateness of collection efforts. Process accounts in accordance with bad debt policies and procedures for in-house and outside collection agency placement. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of departmental policies and procedures by attending department meetings and in-services, conferences and seminars. Maintain high quality standards (timely and accurate processing of information) and positive employee relations. Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner with all staff, management, residents, family members and outside entities consistent with the companies’ Mission, Vision and Values.
