Details: Summary of Position: Ability to safely operate forklifts including the use of material handling attachments, as well as aerial work platforms. Safely and efficiently load flatbed trucks, box vans, and overseas containers, with the correct product. Ability to read and understand all product numbers ship/load numbers, special instructions on the paperwork. Moving raw materials and finished goods by hand and by mobile equipment is routine. Tracking raw materials and finished good materials as part of an inventory management system is integral to the efficiency of the operation. The ability to run production equipment and assist / work in the production department will be required. After learning the Level 1 position other key positions (i.e. Level 2 in Shipping or Production Level 1-5) are growth opportunities in the pay for skills environment the Fernley plant operates under. All roles in the Fernley plant are cross department (functional) and are part of the pay for skills program. This position will also support or work in the Production Department filling in at job levels as needed to provide flexibility to the plant. Working safely is a core responsibility of the position. Safety, team work and worker flexibility are critical requirements for this position.
