Further, proper maintenance, preventive measures and cleaning of related hard equipment such as IVUS, mechanical thrombectomy, and atherectomy devices is required. Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies for the endovascular operating room and cardiovascular catheterization laboratory. Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each work shift. Ensure proper preventive maintenance, routine cleaning, and radiation safety testing/quality control practices are performed as directed for fixed imaging system in the CVOR. Assist with these measures for the fixed imaging within the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory. Ensure a safe work environment and employee safe work habits. Provide assistance in other cardiopulmonary service areas, specifically in the CVOR and the Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory, at the discretion of the Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Educate and train new technicians. In particular, to train, educate and inform all technicians identified in the peripheral intervention inventory, practice, and function and upkeep of the CVOR fixed imaging. Also, participate in this for the CCL practice component. Technician will be a scrubbed member of team responsible for control, operation, and trouble shooting of Siemens Artis Zeego fluoroscopy within the CVOR suite. The technician shall provide patients with the utmost care and attention. All patients shall be assured of their privacy and personal dignity. The technician shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established standards of the MTF, to include, but not limited to, timeliness, accuracy, content and signature. Only MTF and Air Force-approved abbreviations shall be used for documentation of the patient health record. Assist the physician during invasive and noninvasive procedures to treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias. Maintain high standards to achieve quality patient care. Communicates continuously with the physician about the patient’s condition. May perform any of the following: Basic diagnostic catheterization procedures on adult patients with known and suspected congenital and acquired cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. Details: Description JOB DESCRIPTION ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING Purpose: Assist the Director of Nursing to organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department to meet the needs of Residents. Provide the delivery of services in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations. Essential Tasks: Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of the Nursing Department. Assist in the execution, monitoring, and evaluation of Resident care policies and procedures. Oversee and manage the restorative treatment program. Collaborate in recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and discipline of nursing staff, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Advise and consult daily with the Director of Nursing on nursing and Resident care issues. Perform the duties of the Director of Nursing in their absence. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Assist in ensuring the building remains in substantial compliance for all state and federal agencies. Assist the Director of Nursing in the planning and implementation of procedures for all state and federal surveys. Function as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care to all Residents. Assess quality indicator reports and take corrective action as necessary. Coordinate audits and the analyzing of information for continuous quality improvement. Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes to help ensure a well-educated staff. Serve as an active member of all committees as needed in the corporation. Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep abreast of changes in the profession. Consistently work cooperatively with Residents, staff, volunteers, and families to ensure Residents are receiving the best quality care. Assist with orientation of new employees to their duties according to the corporate guidelines. Organize and maintain all records necessary, following corporate policies and procedures. Assist the Director of Nursing in operating the department within the established budget guidelines. Supervise proper care and use of equipment and waste disposal procedures in accordance with corporate policies. Demonstrate consistent management of staff and resources. Follow all written and oral directions given by supervisor. Participate in all in-services and activities as required. Observe all community policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, infection control, Residents’ rights, and those contained in the employee handbook. Maintain the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure. Apply the Minimum Necessary Standard in all matters related to Residents’ protected health information.
